Create a Turnitin Assignment
To create a Turnitin Assignment follow the directions below: 1. Locate the Turnitin link under Build Content. 2. Adjust the settings for the assignment. Click Optional Settings for more options. Select Submit when finished. 3. Once you have created the assignment, click on the title to open the dashboard. Assignment Dashboard The assignment dashboard contains all of the necessary information and tools on one screen. The graphic below shows where each of the tools and information can be found. 1: Assignment Inbox: the main screen on the dashboard. Click anytime you need to return back to the main view. 2: Student List: You will see the name of each of your students listed. If they have submitted their assignment, you will see the title next to their name. 3: Search Box: Search for a specific student. 4: Sort: Sort the student by group (if applicable) 5: Submit on Behalf: Click to choose the student you would like to submit a paper on behalf. 6: Paper ID: Turnitin Helpdesk may need this number if there is ever an issue with a submission. 7: Uploaded: Gives the date the student submitted the assignment. 8: Viewed: Shows you if the student has viewed the feedback. 9: Grade: Click to grade the assignment. 10: Similarity: Give the similarity score. Click to get a detailed view of the submission. 11: Options: More options such as upload, download or delete the assignment. 12: Setting: View/modify the settings for the assignment. 13: Download All: Gives you options to download the submissions and data in different views. 14: Analytics: Detailed view of the data for all submissions.

How do I turn in a Turnitin Assignment? 1. Click on the Assignment Title to access the dashboard. 2. Click the blue Upload Submission button. 3. Choose from where you would like to get the file from. Options: Upload from computer, submit as text, upload from Cloud. Assignment Dashboard The assignment dashboard for the new LTI is more user-friendly and contains all of the necessary information and tools on one screen. The graphic below shows where each of the tools and information can be found. 1: Paper Title: Shows the title of your paper. Click to view your paper. 2: Uploaded: Shows the date and time you uploaded the submission. 3: Grade: Once the instructor has graded the assignment, your grade will appear here. Click to view feedback from the instructor. 4: Similarity: This shows your similarity score. Click to view the detained report. 5: Resubmit/Download: If you are allowed to submit multiple times before the due date, use the resubmit button. If you need to download a copy of your paper, use the download button. 6: Submission Receipt: Click to view and download the submission receipt.

Turnitin Draft Coach
What is Draft Coach? Turnitin Draft Coach gives you access to Turnitin Similarity Reports, Citations Reports, and Grammar Guide right where you do your work —directly in Microsoft Word on the web. This means that you can draft your work in Word on the web and then use the information in Turnitin Draft Coach to help you improve your writing prior to submitting a final copy to your teacher. Note: Draft Coach only works with Word online. How to access Draft Coach 1. Login to Office.com with your Edison credentials. 2. Click on Word from the icons on the left and open your document. 3. Click on the Insert tab and choose Add-ins 4. From the add-ins box, click on Admin Managed tab, choose Turnitin Draft Coach, then click Add. 5. If you receive an Authentication Failed Error, click the blue Try Again button.
