Add Instructor to Course
Each semester, instructors are added to their courses upon approval by the deans. This process is initiated by the Coordinator of Academic Information who assigns each instructor to the appropriate course(s). Once completed, instructors will begin populating into Blackboard within 24-48 hours. If an instructor change is needed at any point in time, you will need to contact the dean to begin the process. There are some cases where an additional instructor may need to be added to a course for purposes such as course design or assistance. If you need an instructor added to a course, you will need to submit a ticket to IT by emailing support@edisonohio.edu. Please include the following in your request: Course Name/ID (in its entirety including the semester) Instructor to add (full name) any special instructions Your request will be addressed as soon as possible.

Accessing a Course in Blackboard
How to access my course in Blackboard First you must access Blackboard by navigating to the Edison State website >Resources > Blackboard or through the URL www.edisonohio.blackboard.com All courses will be located in the Courses tab in Blackboard and are arranged by Terms. You can locate you classes by filtering through the terms a variety of ways. Private or Unavailable Course In some instances, a course may not be opened to students until a certain time. If this is the case, you will see the course say Private or Unavailable. If you think this is in error, please reach out to the instructor or submit a ticket.
